SEO Is Not Needed!
By Vickie J. Scanlon
Some people try to say that SEO optimization is not necessary and they have never used it and their website is successful.
If that's the case, I have to assume they are very lucky.
In my opinion SEO optimization is important. Without it, how will the search engines find you? Maybe you
wrote some content and it got you in the top ten, but you don't know how it happened. That's scary! Why?
How can you reproduce the success you saw on that one page, to your other pages?
So what are the basic elements to SEO and how does it help your site? Let's begin with the elements.
SEO Basic Elements
The basic elements of SEO: keywords, keyword phases, and good content.
Content/Keyword Mix
I cannot talk about keywords without talking about your content as well, because the
content/keyword mix go hand-in-hand at drawing the search engines to your site.
With that being said, before writing your content you should choose the keywords that you want to emphasize. It is
these keywords that the search engines will use to help draw traffic to your site. Let me emphasize, the keywords should
be specific to the content you are writing.
However, here comes the sticky part-your keywords should naturally blend in with the content. If it does
not blend in or make sense, the content in the eyes who see it, will consider it
useless rubbish and will more than likely click away in search of the information that they want.
Search Engines-One-Way Links
Once you're found by the search engines, other sites may find you as well. If they like your content, find it useful for their target audience, they will create a one-way
link to your site. One-way links to your site, that discuss subject matter that is the
same as your site, will draw the search engines and improve your page ranking as well.
One great way to get one-way links is through article marketing. You can create articles,
then submit your articles to various directories. Within your resource box, you
will have your link that points to your website or specific pages that is relevant to the
article you have written.
There is much more to SEO, but this is the basic beginning to knowing why you should be
utilizing SEO. To learn more about SEO, you can go to my site and review
